Chris and
Tess St. Clair's
baby GIRL is expected to arrive
around July 19. We congratulate them on this new addition to their family and
would like to do something special for them. On Sunday, June 19 and Sunday,
June 26, there will be a "baby
shower area" in the vestibule for collection of gifts for the baby.
Please remember to bring your gifts on either of those two Sundays to help them
prepare for their new arrival.
Happy Father’s Day to all fathers!
A drive to collect
paper products for Thermal Belt Outreach, sponsored by the Outreach Committee, began May 1 and will end today. Items needed are dryer sheets, toilet tissue, paper
towels, and napkins. Please leave items
in the box in the vestibule marked TBOM.
Got TIME on Your Hands? Do you have three (3) hours a week and are
you are looking for something to do? We have volunteer opportunities at St. Luke’s Hospital and our Thrift Shop. Applications are available at our Thrift Shop
(148 N. Trade St., Tryon, NC), our hospital or online at www.saintlukeshospital.com (then
select Volunteers). For more information, call Gayle Cook at 828-894-0895. Volunteer – It’s a Healthy Thing to Do!
Please remember our Food Closet. You can bring
non-perishable items and put them in the box in the Library.
Pray for our Vacation Bible School which will be June
26-30.
We are in need of several items for the VBS suppers. You will find a sign up sheet in the vestibule with a
list of items. Please put your name under the item you plan to purchase. We
will need all items here by Wednesday, June 22, 2016. These items are going
to be used for the theme-related desserts we will be having this year. Please
also note that, while not listed on the sheet, we are in need of 2-liter drinks. Thank you for your support!
