WELCOME GUESTS: Welcome to Green River Baptist Church. We are excited that you have chosen to worship with us today. We hope you will be encouraged and challenged every time you come to Green River Baptist Church. So that we may know you better, please fill out the Guest Worship Registration Card located in the pew and place it in the offering plate when it is passed or give it to the pastor at the door.   

PRAYER REQUESTS: Please let us know about any prayer requests that you have by filling out the Congregation’s Prayer Request Card on the back of the Guest Registration Card. We will be praying for all requests. We will also send a card of encouragement through our AGO MINISTRY@ if possible.

PARENTS OF YOUNG CHILDREN: Nursery is available for small children; Children's Church is available for preschool children. Please feel free to ask for information.

Our Memorial Day is today, May 28.  Rev. Josh Pruitt, Minister  of Education at West Point Baptist Church will bring the message. We will have lunch at the church following Morning Worship and there will be no evening service or activities.



A gift was made to the Cemetery Fund by Michael Greene in memory of J. V. Greene.



Vacation Bible School is scheduled for June 25-29, 2017. Dinner will be served each evening 5:45-6:15 pm.  We will march in at 6:20 and dismiss at 8:30. Our theme this year is Galactic Starveyors: Discovering the God of the Universe. Adults, if you are willing to help in any capacity, let Kim Reep or Jamie Hawkins know as soon as possible.  Children, start saving your pennies, nickels, dimes and dollars [quarters too] for our offering for a worthy mission project!!!



Please remember our Food Closet. You can bring non-perishable items and put them in the box in the Library.



Don't forget the PBA Care Kitchen. If you know of someone who may need a free meal, give them a call and tell them to come on over to the PBA basement, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM on Fridays.



The deadline for the 2017 applicants for the PBA Scholarship Program is June 1. Anyone who needs an application may come by the Association Office to pick one up or see Louise Allison.



FROM THE PBA:

Please help spread the word to your churches of the American Heritage Girls (AHG) and Trail Life USA (TL) Troops starting at Lake Lure Baptist Church this Fall.  An informational meeting will be help on Mon. June 5, 2017, 6:30pm at Lake Lure Baptist Church  .For more information please contact Jennifer Cain regarding AHG, or James Cain regarding Trail Life, thejcains@yahoo.com  See announcement on the bulletin board.
