Because of attacks
that have been taking place in houses of worship elsewhere, it is a necessary
part of our life that we have security and personal safety concerns whenever
the church gathers together.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Department
has finalized security training for congregational safety and will make
presentations according to the following schedule:
Tuesday, February 27,
2018, 7pm, GC First Baptist Ch.
Tuesday, March 13,
2018, 7pm, Silver Creek Baptist Ch.
Tuesday, April 17,
2018, 7pm, Columbus Baptist Church
Every church is invited to join with the host churches at one or
more of these presentations.
Yes, we have eternal
security, but let’s be diligent in being safe as we worship.
