Food & Nutrition:

Thermal Belt Outreach: located at 134 White Drive, Columbus, NC

Thermal Belt provides food and some other services to families of low income or reaching hard times. They also can point you in the direction to find more help. Hours of operations are Monday thru Friday 9 am to 4 pm. Call them at 828-894-2988

PBA Care Kitchen: located in Columbus, NC

Free meal provide in the basement of the Polk Baptist Association every Friday 11:30 to 12:30.

Green Creek Baptist Church: located on Coxe Road in Green Creek, NC

Offers food pantry for Polk County Residents in need (in connections with Red Cross). Open Wednesdays from 9am to 12pm only.

Pregnancy:

Hands of Hope for Life: located at 129 N. Powell St, Forest City, NC

If you are pregnant and in a situation where you need help, please contact Hands of Hope for Life. You can reach them at 828-247-4673 or online at www.hh4life.org. Please don't hesitate to reach out for help.

Domestic Violence:

Steps to Hope: located at 60 Ward St, Columbus, NC

Sexual Abuse or Assault:

RAINN - National Sexual Assault Hotline:

Mental Health or Substance Abuse Issues:

RHA Behavioral Health Services: Mobile Crisis Management
